Way back when...
LS Digital Solutions, LLC began in 1997 as a small free-lance web design company. Initially working on part time contracts with George Peace at Pennsylvania Online, Harrisburg, PA. It was a time when the Internet could have been considered the information age "gold rush" and everyone was scrambling to have this new thing called a "web site". We worked with several small businesses and non-profit organizations to assist with getting them established with a web site on the Internet.
At that same time our owner, Lucien (Lou) Southard was also worked on creating the first web site for the Pennsylvania State Police. This was in addition to his duties as the Public Information Officer for Troop H, Harrisburg, where his responsibility was Public and Media Relations for a seven county area. The Commissioner of the State Police approved the initial designs and the Pennsylvania State Police became one of the first Agencies in Pennsylvania to have a 'web' presence. He continued to maintain the State Police public web site and later accepted a position as the Public Information Officer for the whole agency; dealing with the media on a statewide, national and international leve
As the technology grew the Pennsylvania State Police began a Headquarters e-Business initiative and Lou was selected as the technology lead for the project and he worked closely with the selected vendors to implement the first intranet for the agency. Shortly after implementation he then accepted a position as the Agency's web administrator managing both the public web site and intranet, as well as graphics and multi-media. He remained in this position until his retirement in 2007.
Today...
LS Digital Solutions, LLC was formed as small group of independent contractors each with a personal connection and trust to us. We don't 'head-hunt' or cold call. Our company has a firm foundation in web design/development, with a focus on State Government needs. Our goal is delivering solutions to our clients.
